Furniture worth keeping, at a price worth trusting.

Kova Atelier began with a simple frustration. The pieces built to last had stopped being honest about their price, and the pieces that were honest about their price had stopped being built to last.

We set out to close that gap, and we started where the gap is made or lost: the workshop.

Ours is a family business in Europe, run by a father and his sons, building upholstered furniture for over thirty years. Three hundred people work there. Every sofa that leaves is upholstered by hand.

We did not go looking for a factory. We went looking for that, and when we found it we built a brand around it rather than around a season.

That relationship is why we can stand behind a frame for life. The frame is guaranteed for as long as you own the piece, and the leather is guaranteed for two years, because leather is a living surface and we would rather tell you the truth about it than write a number we do not mean.

We build in two ways. In Stock pieces are ready now and ship from our warehouse in Greensboro, North Carolina, so a room can be finished this month. Made to Order pieces are begun for you in the material and configuration you choose, with a 50% deposit to start the work.

We price a piece at what it is worth and we leave it there. When we run a seasonal event, it is a real event with a start and an end, not a permanent sale that quietly admits the everyday price was never real.

That is the whole idea. A considered piece, made by people who have done it for a long time, priced like we expect you to keep it.
